Bitcoin mixers, they work by takin' a' the BTC transactions frae different users an' mixkin' them up, like a big auld blender. This makes it right hard tae trace whaur the BTC transaction came frae in the first place. They pool a' the BTC thegither, then they send oot the newly mixed coins tae the folks that wanted tae use the service.
This way, they break the link atween a user's BTC addresses an' their transactions, makin' it a right pain in the arse for ither folk tae track an' trace what the user's been up tae wi' their BTCs.
Are they legit or a load o' shite? A lot o' them mixers in DW are just scammers, or they're run by the feds or hackers tryin' tae track doon illegal transactions.
Och, an' I only ken o' one mixer that's aboot 70% "safe", an' it's worked three times, but once it didnae.

I think at best what it does it to make it harder to trace the money. At the end, BTC was never an untraceable thing (nothing on the Internet really is). But I am open to counter arguments. Also, it is just not cost effective to "tumble" coins, specially in small amounts!
