iPhone anonymity - even possible?

I wonder about being more anonymous on iPhone. Is it even possible - and what to do for it?
I think using just VPN is not enough. Is possible f.e. to change MAC (iphone calls it "Wifi address")?
I understand that a phone is not the best instrument for loggings or similar, but i'd like to be more safe in communication (telegram, wickr etc.).

From everything I read it is not. Unless you use a dummy phone that was never registered to you and isn't even hooked up to a service on a VPN through TOR I don't think so. Even then I would be cautious because how are you downloading apps? What is your icloud email? I think it could all pose a risk.
